Elder Scrolls lore has been severely under utilized as of late. Skyrim didn't do anything worth mentioning and online suffers from bland gameplay. That's why I think the series should branch off with a different take on gameplay. Keep the mainline action rpg but have another game with maybe turn based party system. Thinking something like Fire Emblem. More assets can be used for storytelling and world building while still having rewarding gameplay.
Plenty of locations to use, races, factions, etc.
Hell, I'd even take an elder scrolls fighting game. Not too sure how that would work though..

Isn't there an island somewhere with a bunch of other races? Vaguely remember snek people.
TESO unironically has the best gameplay out of the entire franchise.

>unironically
Surely you jest, good sir.

Doubt it. They already have an mmo and card game.

The races on the eastern islands are all racist asian stereotypes, so I doubt they'll ever make it into a game.

Haven't played ESO, but I assumed the gameplay was, like all other MMO's, mostly managing cooldown timers while watching your character fight damage sponge enemies. Is this not the case?

>card game.
Well I'll be damned. Is it any good?

With both the Empire and the AD likely to collapse I would love to see a Total War:Tamriel spinoff around the time of TES6.
I am at half staff thinking about my Nord Horde leading a Merrish purge.
Make it happen.

There are cooldowns on your main skills, but for the most part it plays like Skyrim if it was made by people who weren't retarded.

That sounds like a pleasant surprise. I have always despised MMO gameplay, so if ESO is more like Skyrim then maybe I shouldn't have ignored it.

Not him but basically that's it. Dropped $100 on a whim to play with some friends and just had a bad time with it. Exploring was nice but I didn't care for the map layout. I remember being restricted where all I could go until making it to the center. Then you can go to other areas but by that point you're too high a level. Classes all kind of felt the same too. Maybe I just didn't play it long enough.

Hell, the game has a built in dodging and parrying system too.
