I found it without a guide easily. Just fucking explore. I love exploring and it comes naturally for me, so finding that place was a nice little treat.

Also Haunted Cathedral is a god tier level.

I was talking about climbing over the gate, not the building itself. I happened to watch a video of Thief years prior to actually playing it, and the video just so happened to start out with that part of this level, so I remembered it when I played the game but I could imagine myself going in circles for hours trying to find it without that.

It's a Thief game man, I don't think that mansion is even in the top 10 of most obscure/hardest to find secrets, especially if you include fan missions.

It was cool as fuck though.

I don't know if it's actually meant to be different people or the same one, but I know that you can see one watch you through a window near the very beginning, and you can see one through another window later on. You can actually go through the second window and it leads to a secret.

In the distance, during that mission, the Keepers watch what you do. If you spot one and try to get close to it he will run away and disappear before you can get to close to really make them out.

Shit I missed the first one then. Spooky. Yeah I saw that one later on that if you try to chase him you find a secret area that he was hiding in, and he's used a secret exit that doesn't work for you.

Honestly that was such a cool and spooky aspect of this mission, I wish it had been done more often.
