Why do people still think this game is perfect? The second half is as bad as in dark souls 1. The pvp bell maiden system sucks. Blood vials suck. Framerate sucks. Chalice dungeons suck. The map design is hurt by having fast travel right away. Oh yeah, the fast travel blows because you need to keep returning through load screens everytime you need doll succ. It lacks in content without the expansion. There's probably more I'm forgetting.

chalice dungeons are completely optional part of the game. Even if they suck at least they add the potential for endless dungeon crawling if that's what you like.
Blood vials suck because you're not meant to abuse them like Estus.

In what way? It was actually finished for starters and the bosses and nightmare areas were excellent, much unlike dark souls

I'll give you that, it was balanced unfairly in favour of the host. However, the series was never built around pvp and the nightmare areas allow you to invade similarly to Demon's Souls, unfinished builds and one on one fights of players simply playing the game. Very good when it works.

I assume you mean that they are actually consumable, which isn't a problem at all. It discourages spamming for one and they are by no means limited. They don't heal you near as much as other games which I like.

Minor frustrations which do not sap my enjoyment of the game. Load times greatly reduced since launch.

Chalice dungeons add another level to the game, I really enjoyed them. They have good variety and reveal little snippets of info about the world. Very atmospheric. If you don't like them, they are entirely optional.

It really doesn't, though it felt so to me because I enjoyed it so much. I would prefer to have a condensed product than tacked on unfinished areas detracting from the game.

I'm surprised you didn't mention blood gems which is the main problem with the game

And I miss it too, the zandatsu is one of the most satisfying mechanics ever created, the corny designs and voice acting, every character was memorable, the only one who was a bit undertone was Mistral, but only because the bar is set so high in general, perfect soundtrack, few things will ever hype me up again as the first time I heard the first notes of It Has To Be This Way as Armstrong walked toward me, what's even more absurd is that platinum pulled it off in less than two years of development.
