It's great and this new expansion is great except for the final boss fight which is awful. It's a real shame because act 9 boss fight is the best one they've ever done.

I'm tempted to pick this up again, but I never even finished the story that was already there in the first place. I just can't keep interested in the game long enough. The amount of RNG in simply getting gear drops that match your level with decent slots is pretty rough, but then you start accounting for rarity and actual stat bonuses and it gets downright stupid.

you can buy workable gear for alchemy orbs. there's no way you're that unlucky. if you pick up, id and sell every rare you get you can amass a lot of alteration orbs, sell them for chaos. trading takes seconds.

You use anything that's somewhat useful to your character.
Nobody gave a shit about gear before level 60 unless it was some leveling unique.
You'd progress so fucking quickly that getting optimal gear was a waste of time until you started maps.

PoE has problems but stop pretending like you need to copy a build off the internet, unless if you do racing there is no reason to complain if your build isn't the fastest. Part of the fun of ARPG games is making your own builds, including stupid gimmicky ones. If you care so much about your E-Peen then you'll get a lot more respect if you get decently far with one of your own builds rather than copying something from the forums.
