But it was. 2007-2009 had the Recession, iPhones, Autotune, Obama's campaign, Justin Bieber, James Cameron's Avatar, HD-TVs, Saddam Hussein being dead, etc., which separates it from the previous 2000s years. While 2000-Sept 10, 2001 had more of a 90s feel to it. So Sept 11, 2001-2006 really is "da TRUU 2000s".
