I hate it when /v/ complains about games like The Last Of Us being nothing more than "cinematic experiences" due to the much heavier emphasis on story and atmosphere over gameplay, but proceeds to suck off the first 3 Silent Hill Games and referring to them as "artistic masterpieces", despite having a higher emphasis on story/atmosphere over gameplay themselves.
Don't get me wrong, I myself prefer all of them over TLOU, but not for the reasons just mentioned. The whole situation is just hypocritical and like people on this board are only making these statements to either fit in (even though the board is fucking anonymous), or because they are blinded by pure nostalgia.

The feeling of accomplishment wore out during the tail end of the DLC of DS2.

The high you get from grinding a boss for hours and beating them went a way, especially how the bosses fights felt repetitive after a couple games of it. I enjoyed the sections between bosses (wouldn't ever have people help for those) because I enjoyed the slow methodical pace and the atmosphere/settings.

I play fightans with keyboard, and I'm amazing at it. But, put a control in my hand, and I can't even link a hadouken in a punch combo.

I love TES, specially Oblivion, but I think fallout is boring and I wouldn't buy it even if it was just 2$ on steam.

I don't like FPS. The only fps game that I finished and liked was Bioshock 1 e 2, everything else is dropped after 5 minutes.

I usually only play one game at a time, but I just finished playing all the Yakuza games yesterday and I enjoyed those, even if they had too many cutscenes, but I'm not playing anything right now because I just finished that. Last time I felt really put off by video games in general I tried God Hand and I loved it so much that it single-handedly reinvigorated my interest in video games. It is the kind of game you love or you hate, though, so it might not be quite as good for you. Other than that, I'd say try branching out into genres you don't typically play, there's a good chance you'll find something to like when you've left the whole genre completely untapped up to this point. All that said, I did mean it when I said it sounds like a personal problem. Not to make assumptions about your life, but a lot of the people who resign themselves to thinking all videogames are shit nowadays tend to have bigger issues than being bored with games, but again, that's just me assuming.

I think that Lost Planet 2 has the makings of being the best game of all time if it were given more content, streamlining (I don't mean "streamlining," I mean ditching GFWL and other obvious things), and polish
