The combat system. The kingdom building. The battles. The sieges. The roleplaying. The ability to make a career of raiding and looting and not bother with all the kingdom stuff. It's good shit.

I'm really looking forward to Deadfire. There was a good game in PoE 1 somewhere, but it was buried underneath the weird attribute system, the lack of meaningful unique/soulbound items (with very few exceptions, just stacking enchantments on an ordinary weapon gave you better performance than uniques, very rarely were the special gimmick effects worth worrying about), the dull story delivered in a an un-engaging way. Oh yeah, and the fact that there's no combat XP after the first few kills of a certain enemy type, but you encounter millions of them anyway, it's a conflict of design philosophy. If you're going to remove XP grinding through combat, then you should make combat an awful lot rarer than what it was and with better designed encounters. I still really enjoyed it but there was so much that could've been done better. The addition of multiclassing and subclasses coming in Deadfire makes my dick hard too.

Was never a fan of the series, but it looks sort of fun so I might end up checking it down the line.

Amazing wRPG that unfortunately lacks direction from what I've played of the (pirated) alpha build. If they actually provide a good narrative, I might also return to this.

I have no fucking idea. Killed some mook in a keep halfway through number 1 and I lost all willingness to play further. 2 looks better in some aspects but until I've play I won't have any way of predicting if it will "click" like Torment, BG or any Fallout games have.

Must play. It looks clunky in some very minor ways but Vavra has never disapponted me yet, plus it looks absolutely fucking gorgeous.

Must play as well, but we still know absolutely nothing about this one. I've never seen my hype evaporate over a single night but it might be the case with this if they fuck it up.

I'll give it a shot (pirated, of course) but I don't expect anything close to Gothic 1 and 2 levels. The last objectively "bearable" thing they've done was Risen, and all that did was remind me how much I fucking hated G3. I'm predicting I'll quit 1/3rd of the way through this.
