epic thread /b/ro
meme game
will be forgotten in 12 months.
popular ≠ good
if it did, justin bieber would be the greatest musician of all time
>>386255179
>the prostate cancer is beating the testicle cancer, but will he beat the colon cancer?
>>386255316
He's not even that popular.
>>386255316
It's less quality, more making fun of the people who said this was flavor of the month and would die out quickly. Clearly that's not happening
what in the fuck
>>386255316
At least it's not a food analogy.
Why do you hate PUBG /v/? It's gameplay the game? There's no zombies you just spawn in get loot and kill people with sick gunplay.
>>386255395
Kek
>>386255532
well anyone who said that is an obvious retard. the game is deliberately made to appeal to like 80% of people who play games and does all the shit the last memegames like it did but better and with more stuff.
>>386255726
overpriced as fuck and repetitive
playing with a group of friends can only help it so much. it's shit, anon. (at $30 at least, 15 would be perfect.)
>been seeing more gameplay of it lately and getting sort of interested
>realize I just want a fun, tacticool third person shooter with grounded customization and dress up
Should I pirate Wildlands? Already played the goodness out of MGV and I want more of a shooty focus anyways.
>>386255179
Why would I apologize for the majority of Steam users not having any taste?
why does some faggot keep making these "LOLOLOL /V/ GOT BTFO APOLOGIZE UHHHH FOTM RIGHT /V/TARDS??"
what the fuck did i miss, did /v/ treat it as a tortanic? i never saw any such thing and i come here daily
>>386255179
Is Path of Exile any good? I want to try out this game after i heard about that huge content patch.
>>386255179
I am very, very sorry I am not on this spergs payroll. Because it is obviously good.
>>386255940
people called it "flavor of the month"
>>386255874
>overpriced as fuck
That i agree should be a 15-20 dollar game
>repetitive
I like to drop in different downs every time i play so I don't see the repetitive part yet.
Atleast you gave me a non meme answer ty anon
I just play it through family sharing (against the games rules, but its not enforced) and it is pretty good. I wouldn't pay 30 buckerinos for it though.
>>386256121
gross
>>386255179
>the top most played games on Steam are all shitty games
>>386256008
that doesn't warrant these awful, unnecessary threads
>>386255179
Swap rocket league with PUBG and you have a perfect list.
>>386256121
Where's the dick?
Weebs BTFO
B-butt
>>386256121
Real vaginas are so gross
The game is heavily unpolished, still very buggy, and has lying developers behind it. The optimization is also weak as hell still and the game doesn't even look or feel that great either, it's very clunky at times.
And yet it's selling like hotcakes and is considered a 11/10 game by media.
Is this the perfect example of what the state of video games have become, to where streamers alone can sell your game?
>>386256349
>he thinks it will sell systems
I mean I'm sure it'll sell a ton but that's just a wee bit delusional
>>386256574
Go outside NEET, it's VERY popular with normies. Easily the most popular exclusive this gen.
>>386256886
>exclusive
>>386255316
well, the beatles were the most popular and they actually are the best
>>386255639
>Mcdonalds is better than 5 star restaurant food
>>386256512
To a degree, yes. But, this isn't the first or last time this will happen. This has been the state of games since around 2010.
>>386256962
Pretty sure it's a xbox "console exclusive"
>>386256512
I still don't understand the appeal of streamers and let's players, I'd much prefer to actually play a game instead of watching someone else do it. Speedruns can be kind of interesting since it's cool to see how people can push games to their limits, but that's about it.
>>386257130
Take one look at how cancerous the Twitch chat is 99% of the time and you'll see what kind of fags streamers attract.
>>386257367
The few times I've watched a twitch stream was liking walking in on a bunch of middle schoolers circlejerking
>>386257539
Well it makes sense, streamers and Let's Players are mainly watched by preteens. And Twitch culture has been slowly degrading the quality of the industry.
>>386255726
Coming from someone who used to hate it until I played it, it gets hate:
>looks very similar to other meme games like DayZ, WarZ, BoreZ, SnoreZ, and so on
>Early access and Twitch is a massive red flag
>it's cool to hate on anything popular
Honestly if /v/ hates it now, just wait until the console versions sell a fuckload of copies and AAA publishers try to copy it in the years to come. I'm sure Ubisoft is working on a clone as we speak.
>>386257130
Try browsing smaller streamers covering games you are interested in. Nobody will deny that the majority are unfunny tryhards, but there are good ones to be found as well.
>>386257802
I have PUBG and there's reasons to hate it. Only reason I'm playing it again is to make that mad crate money.
>clunky feeling to the gunplay and combat
>fairly buggy and unoptimized still
>developers lied about their microtransaction policy
>repetitive
>new problems occur ever time they devs fix old ones
>>386257802
>AAA publishers try to copy it in the years to come
Perfectly fine with this, I'd rather have more battle royale games than more MOBAs and Overwatch clones.
>>386255532
It's about as flavour of the month as Overwatch. Last year this time it was the best shooter ever according to normans, now most people have gotten fed up with it already.
So I guess League of Legends is the best game of all time?
