Why does /v/ suck at fighting games? You can git gud, right anon?

I'm alright.

Me and my friends regularly pick up random games, and any time we pick up a fighting game I'm solid at it. But once we hit the point where it comes down to pure combo and input memorization I just can't give a shit anymore.

Sounds lame. If you learned your fundamentals, you and your friend could still pick up any game, but get to the meat and potatoes of the game right away.

Played tekken 7 for 50 hours
Went from 75% winrate to 50% in one day
Ragequitted and unistalled
Meanwhile im top 500 in skullgirls with 100 hours
I just don't know

got to grand master ranked but i wanted to get to berserker and as usual ive got one rank to go and ive hit a massive losing streak. Im a bit terrified of going back to face a rank down.

is it worth practicing and looking at more tutorials with lili? i feel i should do that before heading back as the competitions heating up now.

Definitely. She got a lot of really neat changes in the new game that people have been messing around with. Youtube is your friend. Also, learn to her oki game. It's pretty essential for lili at higher levels.

she not very combo centric which can be frustrating but it was funny playing people who memorized decent combos but couldn't block basic lows and mix ups. But i think im well past those people now.

You should get Tekken regardless of what you play with. I personally find a pad to be easier.
and especially just for lili.
