Is anyone tired of shitty 2.5D platformers?

i think you need glasses lad
Yoshi hasn't had a good game since 1995. mainline Kirby on the other hand has been consistently good.

As in, 2D platformers with 3D graphics, or 2D platformers that can go in and out of the background?
>>386239845
What was wrong with DS?
>>386239742
You're lying to yourself if you think Wooly World or this look even remotely good.
>>386239742
the problem with yoshi and kirby games is that they all look (maybe not play, but LOOK) the fucking same
They look good but man are they easy as hell. Nintendo really needs to shake up their formula for these types of games.

Kirby has the true arena for fucks like you.
I still don't fucking get why people keep giving Kirby a pass, it's the same bland, uninspired platforming with one or two fun uses for powers that it's been for the past twenty years. Use fire to light the fuse, use sword to cut things, WE GET IT. And this weird fucking obsession with Robobot when all it added was a mech gimmick is insane to me

I say it works for Kirby more than the yarn Yoshi garbage of recent years. Kirby was always meant to be a simple children's game (more or less) that's easy on the eyes.
>talking shit about Kirby

Was tired of them from the beginning.

That's because Kirby was always meant to simple. Even since the conception, Sakurai wanted to create a game that children would be able to beat easily. If anything, Kirby is perhaps the most consistent Nintendo IP that hasn't strayed away from what the original idea was.
I applaud Nintendo for this because they have such a way with fucking up their old IP's, or adding and changing things that make no god damn sense, and nobody asked for.
3D platformers killed platforming in the nineties and now 2.5D platformers are trying to save it so no

It's pretty amazing how much respect Nintendo gives Kirby. It doesn't have the crazy sales numbers of Mario or Zelda, but at times it feels like the series is being held on a higher pedestal. I can only assume because of Iwata's ties to HAL as well as not wanting to tarnish Sakurai's child, Kirby is gaining more out of his 25th anniversary than any other Nintendo franchise.

But 3D platformers are pretty much dead now maybe except for Mario games
