As for the chunky thing, it's one of the things that the games generally do consistently well in that armour doesn't feel like a flat WoW/Skyrim style body suit but armour that is layered on chainmail and gambeson.

Except it doesn't look like a the piece is shaped like it is in the concept art or how that kind of plate looks like in real life, in game it looks like it's an inward crease, which looks weird, uncomfortable, and like it does the exact opposite of what you are describing.

Also, armor that is layered doesn't look like you're wearing a massive burrito, especially that sort of plate. It's almost like the exact fucking opposite- more like the "skinny legs" on Villhelm. He doesn't have skinny legs, his leg armor just doesn't look like fucking hockey pads.

You get one smack on him and its back to fat roll timing the ass out of things and memorizing move sets. Sheild was trash too since the high damage fire attacks would still chip damage through it.
