First it was Ryan dying. You knew that things were going to be rocky but you stuck around because nobody could have foreseen that happening. You hope that things get better.

Then Dave Snider left. He could have sustained a cushy job as an engineer with CBS but he chose to leave on his own terms for whatever reason. No more Random PC game with Vinny which was imho one of the best segments that GB had going for it at the time.

Vinny leaving for New York was a simple decision, he comes from there, his family is there so that's what grounds him. I still understand how they managed to trick CBS into allowing GBEAST.

Dan was a great hire regardless of what you think of his character. I started watching Giant bomb stuff at the same time Dan was hired so I don't have the nostalgia for Ryan a lot of people have, but been going through early bombcasts and Ryan sure is great.
I'm the same age as Dan and he was new to GB the same time as me so I feel I discovered GB as the same time as he did, plus we grew up playing a lot of the same games so he does feel like someone I could get along with over a beer. Dan brought a lot of energy to the team, which Jeff and Brad really don't anymore.
I'm glad Patrick left so soon after I started but I was saddened by the departure of Austin, he really brought his own qualities and perspectives, and he played of Jeff really good.
Abbey is ok, but she was hired as a video engineer right? I don't know how much of her we need as gamer on staff but I guess being an on-air personality is part of the job. Hopefully she can grow, Vinny seems very protective of her so I hope she actually likes some of the games she will now be exposed to and not do the typical gamer-girl fake out to fit in.
Ben Pack however is just the fucking worst. He brings no energy or joy. He likes fighting games so he can get a long with Jeff and he likes moba so he can get along with Brad, he brings nothing new, no love for a smaller genre. I watch Giant Bomb stuff in waves and usually will watch through their new stuff for a couple months and then wait a year and do it again but now I don't think I can do it. There are so many awkward moments and terrible jokes due to Ben. The cringe just permeates the room.
