I won't lie, I have actually only played 4. I've seen gameplay for the other games and they just look unappealing to me. I also really like 4's plot, it's easier to connect with the protag since he's unfamiliar with the post-nuke world, and it's even easier if 4 is your first game

The gameplay in the other's is fine, but if that's while you're playing fallout then you've been punked. Play New Vegas an witness your mind blow in real time as S.P.E.C.I.A.L. points have real weight, purpose, and value, and every different build has a special way to beat every single mission. It'll make you cum buckets. FO4 is the worst one by miles.
Could this be.....? Could this possibly be a.... jojo reference?.

Either 1 or NV, both had the same sort of feeling and were excellent games. 2 was pretty good, especially in the second half when you get your car and power armor but until then it's a bit of a slog and something about the game feels a bit off with all the tribal stuff and pop culture references every 2 seconds.

Even though I have 1000 hours in NV I'm still saying my favorite is 2. Don't get me wrong 1 is near perfect and the plot is a lot more clear cut and less meandering but honestly I like that about 2. It's honestly really hard to say what my favorite is, I love all three for their differences. I bought a dual pack of Fallout 1 and 2 when I was 14 in the early 00's and I never looked back.
