Actually just started reinstalling it a few minutes ago, bu then I remembered the amount of shit I have to mod to make it good and now I feel like I can't be bothered.

They consider Left 4 Dead a nostalgic game, bro.
They're young normalfags who don't know the Let's Play game.
It's impressive that their vids pulled viewcounts in the hundred thousands right off the bat, but it quickly fell off on their later videos. They don't know how to capitalize. Viewer retention is important and I reckon they'd see more success releasing a video daily, or at least more than (what was) once a week, and implementing higher standards of quality like you suggested.
That said, their commentary wouldn't matter if they presented it well and made the uploads more frequent.
