I enjoyed the Treasure Hunt sections. Mad Space is shitty, but some I legitimately enjoy. I'm certain that they'd be way more enjoyable if the radar wasn't fucked.
But yeah, the Mech sections are better, fuck the stupid "the controls are too clunky" meme. I'm honestly mad we'll never get mech gameplay again.

More often than not the game has a story like you're talking about, the audio logs and item descriptions or whatever merely add another layer of depth to the world or greater explain character motivations that don't really fit anywhere else.
Somethings just either can't, or shouldn't, be explained in brief cut scenes as they can come off as hamfisted.

Removing carry weight and stamina usage by running make it way more enjoyable imo. I think i've also played around with increased jump height for giggles and slightly reduced enemy HP so big fights don't take so long, but i'm still undecided on both of those.

Fuck you, it does it's job great, and it could be one of the best in the beat 'em up genre with some changes, and it's fun as it is. Same goes for the stealth. Specially fuck you Dante fags (the biggest Bamham combat oppositors) and people who take Dunkey videos too seriously. It drives me up to the wall when i read anons suggesting that the combat should be like the ones in games like Yakuza 0, God Hand or Ninja Gaiden, fuck you, none of those combat systems suit well for Batman (and i love Ninja Gaiden, haven't played the other two). Batman is all about efficiency, not style, he will break your shoulder and finish the fight right there, not try to do a x20 aerial combo.
