Best games to "turn your brain off"
So best casual games.

I guess so. But this is also my choice and I wouldn't exactly say it's casual. I should've said "chill" games?

I love Katamari so damn much. It's just pure quirky fun and few games these days can unironically deliver that.

Good choice. Constantly go back to old final fantasys when I'm tired or drunk

It's the OST that does it for me. I'm constantly watching anime and 15 years later I'm thinking "wow this sounds like katamari music"
Naaaa nananana na na na na na nana naaa

This and the sequel are possibly my favorite PS2 titles, and definitely in my top 10

>im constantly watching anime
your brain is already turned off

Only reason I bought GTA desu, I just like drinking and driving around and fucking with people, also I play Senran Kagura esticap versus when I just want to not focus too much on anything after work

I remember buying Katamari right after it came out (for $20 new, no less) and I loved the soundtrack even from the first video and file selection. Such a good game. I was playing We <3 Katamari the other day while high. Some missions are easy but some are pretty difficult to get a good score.
battle brothers
once you lose a few warbands to bad decisions and figure out how to play it's a very comfy mercenary life simulator

Free Skate
Everything off.
This is my go-to.
Comfy visuals + landscaping and sex minigames make it great when you're not totally aware of what's going on.

Puyo Puyo Tetris. I can just zone out and play endurance mode for hours on end

They're not hard

You don't have to think much to attack (with either magic or whatever) and heal. Or use buffs sometimes. Your reflexes aren't tested either.

It's kinda sad that all casual games these days are branded over "experiences" for stories, there are so few games where it's gameplay focused. No candy crush doesn't apply and I can't find a reason suck my nuts

Casual isn't inherently bad.
