It's funny too because you have a credit rating, basically a number that expresses how responsible you are at paying back borrowed money whether through auto/home loans, credit cards, etc. People get their first card, max it out and can't pay it off and end up filing with a "credit consulting company" which permanently fucks their credit score up for the next 7 years, 10 if they file bankruptcy, and they wonder why they can't buy anything else.

I always buy expensive stuff with credit card just because the card company includes quite good insurance to any goods bought with it, also allows me to dispute more easily if the seller somehow screws up or tries to screw me. But on the other hand, I never let those purchases create any interest, I will just pay them completely when the monthly bill comes.

The biggest risk I'm afraid of is if the seller goes bankrupt suddenly before fulfilling my order. For example, a big retail chain went under suprising everyone in the country I live in, leaving people who bought stuff just before the bankruptcy fucked in the ass. Basically, they have zero hope of getting their stuff out of the company inventory and getting financial reparations is difficult when the big debtors are first in line for that. But if one bought stuff from there with a credit card, getting your money back was a trivial affair.
