What does /v/ think about metroid prime hunters now that the new metroid is coming
It's very much a product of its time.
Speedrunning it is still pretty entertaining though.
It was like a slow portable Unreal Tournament and I had a ton of fun in it. And I think now we pretend its single player wasn't a steaming pile of shit, too.
Hard as fuck when you're left handed
Dual mode controls were bad
I still like it tho, Samuses moving animation is funny as hell
So bad it kept me from playing other metroid primes for 10 years.
Very nice graphics for the 3DS, but super bland game.

Some of its environments are nice, but the lack of upgrades other than weapons and flat progression hurt it. It also eternally annoys me that 100% completion doesn't make energy tanks all the way under your health bar.
It has some fun out of bounds methods and an easy, reliable way to crash your DS though.

But the controls are almost specifically built for left handed people.
Multiplayer was really fun but full of cheaters. I remember playing MP2's multiplayer a lot too.

I don't remember having problems.

It was as good as a handheld Metroid Prime game could ever be, which is saying a lot. The multiplayer was great though.
I liked it. OST had some quality tracks.

It would have benefited a lot from having more than 4 bosses with 2 of them being the final one's two forms.

The only thing I actually liked about single player was getting into some brain computer lore. Other than that it was pretty shit. Recycled bosses were pathetic even before they were recycled.
