Let's talk about the only thing you (and management) seem to care about: sales.

PS4 is being sold at an insane loss considering the amount of tech they put into it. They actually lose money with each console sold. This has always been Sony's strategy, but it is becoming increasingly unsustainable in recent years to declining software sales.

Do not let the numbers they provide fool you: most third party titles aside from GTA are doing exceptionally poorly on PS4. It has become increasingly common for people to buy a console JUST to play GTA and nothing else. This has led to an environment where nothing aside from AAA titles can survive. It's a major reason why Street Fighter V and the upcoming Monster Hunter World are shaping up to be disasters. Devs are desperately trying to capture that elusive GTA audience.

Hey we can all admit PS4 is doing good, what we can also admit is that it is mostly due to its popularity in the west with games like Fifa and shit which isn't necessarily good for the market.
A console like the PS4 having a full monopoly of the market due to crappy western games can tell us that the future of gaming might not be a really good one. If Sony was a western company they could have already ditched the japanese market, but I honestly wonder if they really won't in the future considering how the Japanese market is so focused on portable and mobile.
