It's not bait. It's my honest opinion. My friends have been hounding me to play, and gifted it so I wouldn't have an excuse. We played in a 4 man squad, and it was a nightmare. One of the games none of the houses loaded, and had no collision detection, so I was warping through houses.

I had fun because I was with friends, but the game is very lackluster and I really don't get the appeal.

As other anons said, the game uses around 7gb by itself. Plus windows and other stuff, 8gb is not enough for it.
Also, putting textures on anything over Medium maxes out the 980's 4gb of vram, causing stuttering and slow-loading textures.

The game is decent at times but usually feels like a lot of nothing is happening.

Sure it's all about "how you play the game", and I guess how I play the game is one of the less fun ways to play. Some people just want firefights, but with my loadtimes firefights are risky, especially in the early-game cause sometimes my houses don't load in right away. If I lose I gotta go through shit load times. If I win I'll probably sink time into running around just to lose later. I'd care if killing people mattered, but it doesn't matter, so I don't care. Cosmetics I don't care about, so points don't matter.
The First-Person-Perspective mode made things more fun but also more risky. Chances are if someone has you in their sights you're getting insta-gibbed with no info on how you died. So all that time spent looting is wasted and you get to do it all over again.

I dunno man, maybe the game just isn't my flavor.

I played it at a friends house and it was nothing remarkable at all, I honestly can't figure out what the buzz over it is.

It's just a typical early access game to me, it looks pretty bad, isn't optimised, and is pretty dull to play. It was fun for about 40 minutes and then I just couldn't find it in me to keep going, nothing about it was interesting.

A lot of people seem to enjoy it though so hats off to 'em I guess.
