Hard to say. I'd say the fact they give you the illusion of more depth only for it to never really be necessary was at least more annoying.

The unlockable content wasn't bad though, but unlocking it wasn't great. Something about the save files I think.

Played it when I was much younger and I played it again a few weeks ago. It's extremely boring, the bosses are 1-2 hit insta kill cheese fests, the friendly AI doesn't do anything except make battles look cool, and the combat is meh.

It was definitely lacking depth but I enjoyed it more then the DW series. Combat could have been improved in the sequel and added better things but that actually killed the game instead.
