Dark Souls. The trial-and-error playstyle just gets tedious after a while

Gravity Rush 2, I'm so sad to admit it. I love the characters, the gravity shifting mechanic, the music and graphics. But fuck whoever designed the missions, the challenges are fine but both side quests and story missions are dull with bad combat. I really wish I could enjoy the game despite those shortcomings.

It's so boring, I don't know why anyone suggests it on good Gamecube game lists.

It's not bad, it's just really really boring and not fun to play. There's no challenge, all you do is dodge projectiles and hold down the B and X button until you win. I think I only lost once because I didn't understand how the robot switching mechanic worked.

I imagine if I had this game as a kid and had nothing else to play, it might've been fun since it's easy to get into and is colourful and reminds me of a saturday morning cartoon, but otherwise it's nothing special.

Persona 5.

Now let me preface by saying that I played Persona 3 and 4 just for the social links. I'm not usually into this kind of thing but they're so garbage as RPGs that their only redeeming quality is the life sim aspects, which really aren't that bad.

But Persona 5 made the actual RPG parts as unbearable as possible. For instance, most dungeons need you to advance the plot in some fashion to progress further into it at some point, but because the story is so absolutely terrible it makes it feel like the developers just padded out the dungeons instead of wanting to add in more memorable story moments. Because there are no memorable story moments. The story is insanely predictable and the characters are not only 1 dimensional but also borderline retarded at some points. The combat itself is repetitive as fuck and is just pattern memorization, and the dungeons while better than Persona 3 and 4 were still shallow and unenjoyable. There's no unpredictability to them. You go through the dungeon, maybe solve a few puzzles along the way, get loot from chests that you aren't going to need, fight a midway mini-boss, and do the same thing all over again until you get to the main boss and whoop his ass on your 2nd or 3rd attempt because the game is way too easy. Fucking boring.

So again, I kept playing for the social links, but eventually the game wore me down to the point where I just couldn't bring myself to play through it. The life sim elements are really good, damn good in fact. The social links are adorable and they actually made your personality skills important. But the other RPG half of the game is so unbearable it isn't worth playing.

I got up to the Dhoulmagus fight in DQVIII years ago and just put it down after that...haven't touched it since.

Every time I try to go back I always get distracted by other shit, idk why.

Final Fantasy X-2. I put around a hundred hours into Final Fantasy X, but couldn't even finish the story in X-2. Its been what I guess is about a decade since I tried playing it. Maybe some day, but I doubt it.

Lost planet 3 on the PS3.
The game should have been fucking released just on the new gen consoles, because the loading times are atrocious. The enviroments seem like really small areas for some shitty setpieces, before you encounter 21141824th loading screen. The combat is bland, since >infinite ammo because your ""non-combat"" mech has a fucking armory.
Monsters feel like straight up bullet sponges, that goes without saying. I liked the first minutes in the game, but I already had a bad feeling once the controls hit me.
