The whole point of the game is that you cannot live without pain, even with good intentions living is to hurt others and be hurt yourself. Hiding from this is not an escape, so the best you can do is to find your own way of life, know that it is not wrong to act in self interest, and understand that this applies to everyone and not just you.

Whatever happens as lives clashing with each other through love or violence is not something we get to control, so live your life with no regrets as you go through it.
