Since I won't be here on the weekend, I'm going to troll the thread real quick for ideas before the battle against POSTRUSH begins.

Although I still have a long ways to go to polish this turd and invite everyone in to play, I've been steadily adding to a multiplayer Vermin game. Currently it has a database of 879 Vermin, more than there are Pokemon. Granted many of them had their abilities simplified, but hey. Quantity over quality, right?

I'll post a summary of how it works so far so people can potentially chime in with ideas or alterations to perhaps make something actually fun to play. That's granted anybody actually even wants a janky MMO, and that I'm not missing the point of Vermin entirely.

Currently I've been focused on the back end of stuff so the actual hud and backgrounds look pretty ass, don't mind them.

-Encounters are currently randomly occurring (like most early RPGs) as you move through the dungeon, with only special boss Vermin potentially appearing on the map. I can change it to roaming mobs that start combat when you touch them (all using a similar sprite, probably some kind of glowing eyes cloaked in a shadow), but it might be extra stress on my server and I'm not yet sure how many of you I can hold at once.
-Battle system has been ported from VFC with alterations. Vermin cannot be controlled directly, but it's up to you to tell them when to flee or when to tag out with an ally. Battles are 1v1 with switching between teams of up to 3 Vermin, much like Argumon.
-You can also use items (currently: meat) to heal your Vermin (and potentially other effects) during battle, but items have a cooldown period so you won't be able to cheese strong enemies too hard this way.
-In the spirit of VFC, the entirely game is essentially an RNG shitfest. The strategy comes from resource and risk management instead of individual battle tactics. You must know when to pick your fights, when to press on through the dungeon, and when to turn back.
-If you party wipe, your active Vermin will use all of their remaining power to teleport you back to the cistern entrance. Your Vermin and any items you were carrying will be gone for good, akin to permadeath. Vermin and items placed in storage will still be accessible, so you can quickly form a new team depending on your collection.
-Only 1 of each non-mook Vermin can be found. For example, if you have "Donaqua" in your party or storage, you will never find another Donaqua either in a mystery box or encountered as an enemy.
-The first level of the dungeon is a "safe zone" with only weak enemies, and even if you party wipe here you won't suffer any repercussions. Other players cannot ambush you here.

-There is a wrestling ring in the safe zone. Players can bet items in friendly PvP matches here.
-Vermin can be acquired either by redeeming special tickets in front of a mystery box, or by negotiating with enemy Vermin. When negotiating, enemy Vermin will ask for certain items in exchange for their loyalty, but many are very fickle and may simply run off with your goods like the assholes they are.
-As you descend deeper into the dungeon, enemies become increasingly stronger and have a higher chance of being Evo2 or even Evo3 Vermin, and a lower chance of being willing to negotiate. The lowest floors spell certain doom for everyone but the luckiest and most tenacious of anons.
-There will be 4(?) separate themed dungeons with their own encounter set, each 50 floors deep.
-Each player has an "Explorer Level" which is the total of unique dungeon floors you've visited. For example, if you reached floor 25 on both the Forest Dungeon and the Cemetery Dungeon, you would have a cumulative Explorer Level of 50. Your current Explorer Level resets when you party wipe, but you will retain your place in the leaderboard until you surpass it.
-Once the game begins, the Vermin King's Chalice will be randomly placed somewhere on the 50th floor of one of the 4 dungeon, guarded by a superboss. Not even I will know its location. Whoever takes hold of the chalice and successfully brings it back to the cistern will be crowned the champion of VFCO and granted a special prize. If the player holding the chalice party wipes, it will appear in a new random location.
-In the event that a champion is not crowned (it is intended to be an extraordinary feat, after all), the two players with the highest explorer level and the highest Vermindex completion % will each be given a prize.
-Items can be found randomly placed inside the dungeon, but enemies also have a chance to drop items and Blorfbux(?) upon defeat.

-A hidden LUCK stat has been added, rarer Vermin have a higher luck stat but otherwise their stats are the same as normal. This is so a slight power difference can exist between common and rare Vermin. However, rare Vermin use different Evolutors from commons.
-Teams exist, but currently only as a means to form a 'truce' with other players to ensure you won't stab each other in the back. Due to the sheer volume of abilities I have to deal with, and the complications that arise with them during multi-battles, I don't plan to have 2v2 or 3v3 battles in VFCO, at least not from the get-go. If anyone has any ideas for team benefits that don't involve directly fighting on a team simultaneously, I'm all ears.
-Evolving a Vermin requires 3 Evolutors(anyone have a better name?), a rare item randomly dropped by enemies. Evo2 > Evo3 requires 12 Evolutors. Because there is no level grinding in VFCO, only raw stats, evolved Vermin are treated as quite valuable and are relatively difficult to obtain.
-Returning to the cistern and then re-entering the dungeon will fully heal your party.
-Names will be randomized alliterations to retain a semblance of anonymity (e.g. Autistic Austin, Buff Billy, Chunky Charles) while still having an in-game chat. Appearances will also be randomized for the sake of humor. If people would prefer it I'll just have a normal name input and character creator.
-Each starter's entire evolution family will be fully animated (sooner or later, heh). If people don't like the additional starters I came up with, or think we should have more, perhaps we could do a group vote of who everyone would like to see and I could give them the same treatment I gave the MFvsEL finalists.
-I might not keep following Vermin, or limit it to your starter since 99% of Vermin look bizarre floating across the map and it would become a visual clusterfuck if there were more than a handful of players in one spot.
