The main characters are kids, they sound like kids. The only character that still sounds weak and out of place is Ozpin, everyone else is at least on par with the B/C list VAs they use in most anime.

Volume 3 is better animated than the majority of seasonal anime and volume 4 is even above that in some places. Volume 5 looks like it will have animation far better than most anime in certain places.
