I never bothered to make the switch. I like to Shift-key for alternate bindings, but that moves a lot of work to the ring finger. I cannot properly reach Tab or ` unless I use my pinky, which moves it away from Shift and slows me down if I have to follow up with a Shift binding.

So I gain 4 keys on the right side, but lose Tab and `. If I wanted a setup without Shift, I would sooner move to RDFG.

The problem with ESDF is you're going to have to rebind everything because most game come bound to WASD by default.

Depending on how many fucking keys there are and your familiarity with the game that means you could spend upwards of 10 minutes just rebinding keys. Obviously that's not such a big deal if you're only playing 1 game but doing that shit for every game is a pain.

I'm half left handed. I don't know if there's real word for it.

ESDF, habit from being a touch typist I guess. When I first used WASD I actually used my ring finger for WS and my pinky for D, it was uncomfortable as shit. Remapping keys made more sense than moving my hand, but it's kind of a pain in the ass to need to rebind it every goddamn time.
