He's the only other character aside from Auron who gets Piercing by default on most of his weapons at least, and maybe you'd want to do some kind of very specific party composition, but other than that I was leaning more towards the "whatever you want" side.

Similar to what other people have said: get him into Rikku's path and use the shortcut into the end of Yuna's path. He will get Holy/Curaga/etc. before she will which means by the time you face Yunalesca you'll have two Holy Casters who can absolutely wreck shit.

would it really have been so hard to just balance his magic around being able to cast it normally? because this is the REAL reason he's shit

The Mt Gagazet fight with Biran and Yenki, they will be at a level on par with however far Khimari is. The only boss fight that does that so is he's underleveled compared to the rest of the party it won't matter.

It's as if they knew no one would use him.
