Do developers need protection if you beat their game and get a refund?
Sounds to me like they need to make a game that takes longer than 2 hours to beat.

If anything, we need protection from you.

This thread again? We going to discuss our one universal agreed point every day?
If your game can be beaten and still qualify for a refund, your game wasn't worth the money in the first place.
If people don't wanna buy a game in the first place, why bother going through the refund process? Why don't they just pirate it?

>why not just steal it?
I'm not a nigger, nigger.

Some games, like the one in the OP, have copy protection that is so top notch, the game is still not available on public trackers over a year after its release.

But pretending to buy it is okay?

Piracy is illegal, refunds are not.

Not for long. It's about time people stood up to these toxic consumer-first practices.
Unless your game is free nobody gives a shit how much work you put into your two hour game; two hours is two hours. It is not the job of the consumer to convince themselves that the product they bought is worth the money.

Developers need to make games that are worth keeping in your library. You wouldn't refund a 2 hour game if you loved it and wanted to replay it later.

> It's about time people stood up to these toxic consumer-first practices.
>99.99999999% of people are consumers of games
>0.00000001% are devs
>WHO STANDS WITH ME AGAINST THISE RIGHTFULLY ENTITLED CONSUMERIST SCUM?!?
I am certain there are places crazy enough to do so.

Gamedev here, obviously there should be protection, quality over quantity.
