Discuss the playstation 5 home entertainment system.
Imagine if PS5 actually looked like that
Jesus, the person who made this pic should straight up get shot

Just played the paid Death Stranding demo, it's a mess. Konami was right.
four hundred ninety nine dollarssss
Xbox One XXX is more powerful and has BC
>Still has a Jaguar CPU

Needs more straight edges and tribal tattoos.

Why would I talk about something that will only come out in 2020 at best?
And what IS there to talk about? We already know it'll be the most popular system and that it'll get the most support. What a shocker, I know!
I'll get one as soon as there's 1 game I'm interested in. That's all there is to say. Everyone knows the system will get supported by every dev and will have a long lifespan, much like every other Sony homeconsole. They are consistently good so there's nothing to fear or speculate about next gen.
Actual leak here
Just finished playing bloodborne remastered. I'm glad they took out blood vial farming.
Out of the way nerds

Do you know what has happened?
The rich have artificially engineered inflation.
They have made it appear to us poor and middle class people as if our dollar is worth less now, as if that's the way everyone has to deal with it.
But it isn't true.
Our dollar hasn't changed in value.
They've just taken all of the dollars, and agreed to pay us less of them.
That way, we have less money to work with, while they can produce and sell things for whatever price they want, because they don't care. They'll charge for what they can/will pay, and if no one buys it and they lose money, they don't care, because they HAVE all the money.
Meanwhile we all piddle around down here like, "oh, oh, everyone has hard time right now, money is scarce, we have to spend frugally, never hope to own a home" and they're all up there laughing, because they know money isn't scarce, they've just hoarded it all and hidden it from us.
We can all be free of this. We can all be rich. resources are plentiful. We just need to take them.

If you don't think PS5 will be BC you're mistaken, that's their ace in the hole
>>386130898
Sony have stated that their users don't want BC, that no one REALLY wants it. So they're not going to bother with it anymore.
>>386130898
you fool
why would Sony let you play your games on the PS5 when they can charge you a subscription for them?

Will it have a Disk Drive?
PS9 fucking when
>>386128623
It won't exist after the fallout from the emoji movie hits them.

>>386129726
The console looks like their PS9 commercial version.

>SPHERICAL
>>386131720
Last time Sony tried no cd drive, they fucked themselves hard. PSP GO, anyone?
>>386128623
i fucking hate these hypothetical next-generation designs, they're always just absolutely terrible
why the fuck does it have a tramp stamp?
>>386129063
>Not the Xbox One X Two X Red X Blue X
>>386134593
to be fair nobody liked UMDs on the old PSP. very fragile, slow load times, drains your battery faster, and makes noises while playing the game.
>>386133847
They survived Ghost Busters.
>>386131072
in theory sony is right. nobody bothered with BC on PS3 because they still owned a PS2.
>>386135090
Weird how popular it is on the xbone. Though, the xbone is trying to become a living room PC, and PC has BC too, so that makes sense I guess.
>>386134824
>nobody liked UMDs on the old PSP
>>386135387
it's true.
>>386135090
Also, no one used BC on the PS3 BECAUSE SONY REMOVED THE FUNCTIONALITY.
>>386128623
Ryzen gen 3, 8 cores 16 threads 7nm, GPU AMD navi arch 7nm 25TF, CPU and GPU gets interconnect with infinity fabric 300GB/s latency 20ns, CPU had one asm instruction to call draw, 64GB of HBM 3 memory 2TB/s bandwidth, release date 2020 Q4.
>>386128623
does the 90s tribal tattoo give it its hidden overclocking power?
>>386135387
It's true though, UMD was so bad that Sony even released the PSP GO model without a UMD drive
>>386135505
Just the PS2 functionality, sadly. At least it can still emulate PS1 games, wish that the next one is BC compatible but there's money to be made with remasters and shit so it's doubtful
>>386128623
They will get cocky after the success of PS4 and fuck up just like PS3.
>>386135384
They have no new games to play so they have to play last gen games
we should go back to catridge and stop using discs on the next generations.even if the memory card is used only to install and run the game
PS5 will be out within a few years. It will just be another two-year-old gaming PC with DRM-OS. There will be a 'PS5 Pro' mid-cycle upgrade and then PS6 which will be the same. This is the new 'console' life cycle. They are literally just off-the-shelf PC components running hobbled proprietary versions of standard PC OS (Playstation - FreeBSD based, Xbox - Windows based). They are a short-term/short-sightedness value proposition (less 'sunk cost' which you pay for by insanely higher software prices and lack of actual ownership/utility of a PC).
