Why do people act like MGSV took a decade to make? According to when they started hiring, both the game and the engine started development in early 2012. The game came out in mid 2015.

3 years to build an engine from scratch and an open world game is way less time compared to other AAA. Most open world AAAs are in development for 5-6 years

The only good thing that came off MGSV was seeing /v/ cream themselves over any little content Konami showed us. I had more fun lurking MGSV threads and seeing people come up with absurd conspiracies and plots for the game than playing the actual thing.
