A shit game with fake customisation where every build looks the same because so much of the skill tree is mandatory to not die instantly. The devs have a hard-on for increasing monster damage without giving tools to survive it so the game became an unfun mess of one-shots unless you have 12,000 hp, but GGG doesn't like that you can survive one-shots so they nerfed it for 3.0.

Leagues aren't retarded. I used to share this opinion until I finally saw the light. Leagues aren't really different than the D2 ladder seasons other than a new mechanic is available for a few months which spices up the game a bit. Having to start a new character every league keeps the game fresh and is wonderful for the economy when everyone starts from scratch. Permanent leagues become shitholes with huge inflation when you have economy based games.

First Playthrough...
- first thing that make my eyes bleed is the ultra small fontsize...well that's a fucked up way to piss me off.
- didn't like the level design (too big, nothing cool to see, background stuff prevents you from seeing enemies)
- the enemies look good but are 95% boring fodder or swarming 1-hit kills.
- boss fights were like "what the fuck is going on...oh nevermind he's dead"
- i absolutely hate that you can find skills randomly but there are not strong enough to even test. so i let them block a weapon slot for a couple of hours just to find out that the skill is is fucking worthless.
- story was like..."welcome nobody, prove yourself, the end...now play the game again"
- the introduction of your homebase was surprising but way to late in my walkthrough...just a fucking setup for endless replays.
- i also find it rather disgusting to get spoiled by the marketplace pop-ups about late game content like the pets.


2nd Playthrough...
- lets check out the multiplayer and play some co-op...everyone is just racing from exit to exit in fucking seconds. just killing what's in your way and maybe scoop up some super rare drops.
Imagine my face when i slowly advance through the aftermath from those psychos and check out what they left me while the achievements for beating difficulties and bosses are popping up in a steady flow.

Fuck this game! I rather replay the Diablos, Torchlight 2, Grim Dawn, Dungeon Siege 1-2, Titans Quest before i waste my time with this boring game.

It is realistically possible to do Righteous Fire without that fucking shield? I keep hearing the word required but some people who say that but actually mean "highly recommended if you want to do high tier maps with this build" instead. I don't mind if it take a millisecond longer for an enemy to explode just by standing near it personally. I just want to burn shit.

I always got pretty overwhelmed by the skill tree and was scared to fuck up anything and ruin my character. And it seemed like fucking work to completely grasp everything.

Say what you want about D3, but if there's something I really like about it, it's the flexibility of trying different shit whenever you want.

There's no reason not to start your character off in HC, it'll teach you how to play the game a bit safer and tighter. Just dont become one of "those people". If you enjoy the build you're playing just keep playing it after you die and get shuffled into Standard.

Btw, when you die in HC the transfer is seamless, you respawn in the current act's town but in Standard.

Righteous Fire, you basically burning yourself with the monsters around you. Need massive fire resist and life/ES to pull it off. If using a real attack with with like Sourching Ray if you find that you don't need to burn enemies you can disable RF and just have a massive health regen that isn't otherwise being burned at.
