Ryan didn't fall because of capitalism, and this is a strawman. His issue was with authoritarianism. He hated government. So, by not using government, it allowed Fontaine to rise, and Fontaine was such a cunning adversary that Ryan couldn't defeat him without compromising on his libertarian views, and by compromising on his views, Fontaine was able to undermine him politically which made the city fall to pieces. There are several metrics by which BioShock 2 can be considered the worst in the series. The common enemies are copy+pasted from the original, and the only bosses that is mildly entertaining are big sisters.
