You'll also be punished heavily for it with significantly lesser rewards, less experience, lower damage against enemies, and no scaling so you'll have to fend off attacks from all sides alone (or with AI that breaks weapons/eats ammo faster than a real person with less damage output)

This shit has red flags all over it and you assholes still fall for it.

no, not for $40. It's incredibly unbalanced and 100% focused around loot crates which are your only stable source of schematics, which are all RNG, so, if you've got shit luck like me, you can go all the way to plankerton (zone 2, where enemies get like double/triple their previous health in a single mission) without a single purple item, and be stuck at a level cap of 20 doing almost no damage. There are transform tokens to throw garbage schematics/dupes in to make better stuff, but that too is RNG and still relies upon you having spent money on llamas (or grinded out for weeks, since it takes 2 days to get a single llama from dailies, at the very least, and transform tokens can take anywhere from 20-30 rares for a legendary or 10+ for an epic, and rares are the ONLY guarantee, and even then there's no guarantee you get a rare weapon schematic so you may get significantly less points. It's rough.)

So in short if you can get a copy for free, absolutely. It'll last you probably a week and some change with no problem if you play it all day like me. After that, it turns into an absolute slog and it's not enjoyable whatsoever. Plus it's unfinished. I just hit canny valley (zone 3) this morning, and after doing the first couple pages of quests, I found out they're undone. As in, not brutally difficult, but literally not there. Meaning if I go ANY further, I'll return and be unable to party with anyone, and will be unable to get any exp from those zones either, so continuing to play would hurt me in the long run.
