I hesitated a lot on whether I should send her back. She seemed perfectly fine in the Downwarren. In the end I left Ti'zo, Bertrude, Pametha, and the Reader. Seemed like the perfect choice for me. Ti'zo and Bertrude are perfectly happy in the Downwarren, Pametha can stay with her sister, and the Reader can walk into the sunset for a new adventure with Sandra, who has now escaped from the Crystal. The only thing I felt shit about was Hedwyn getting depressed over me.

So did i but When i saw her interactions with Almer i was hoping that i will be able to send Almer to the other side. When i had liberation rite against Fate i let them win.
I've also sent Ti'zo as he said that he always wanted to see Commonwealth and i also thought that it will be a nice boost of morale for people on the other side. Having made those 2 decisions i hesitated a bit,but did what i thought was the best and send her up in the last rite.
I felt kinda bad that i have separated sisters(yes,i've lost against the essence,never felt so shi*) but Sir Gilman, Bertrude, Pamitha,Volfred and myself(reader) seemed really fine to stay in the downside in the end.

In the end I liberated both Ti'Zo and _ae (Kae in my game) because they seemed to be really close to each other. And as happy as she was in the Downside, that place IS a hellhole and she deserved better. I left Bertrude, Volfred and Pamitha in the downside,
though I wish I threw the fight against Dalbert (to send Almer up) and maybe Ignarius (he turned out to be way better than I expected).

On another note, IS there a way to reunite Pamitha and Tamitha? I did make them fight in a rite and Tamitha did admit she loves her but in the endings she still lashed out against Pamitha. Is there a better ending or is that the best I can get?

I see a lot of people leaving Volfred. I thought sending him up was logical for the Plan to fully work, and I really like that he became the first minister of the new country. Plus, he could finally reconnect with Oralech, who I gave his twice-earned freedom back.

Actually, it was the exact opposite with Pyre. The day they came out the threads were flooded with "LOL VN" and "FUCKING SPORT GAME" shitposts. Then not even a day later it turned out that the game is actually fantastic, and the gameplay itself is very fun and has such a depth to it that it can potantially, and unironically be a competitive game. Shame they did not add Online multiplayer.

I really advise you to play it. I've loved the other Supergiant games as well, but Pyre took me compeltely by suprise, and it's easily my favourite out of the 3 games. Just finished it after 14h, and I'm already thinking of playing it again.

I like Volfred and would ascend him if there was more room for it. However I don't think I'd ascend Betrude since she seems to be cool with the Downside and I don't want to separate her and Volfred. Not to mention I did the Oralech thing and since he stays in the Downside afterwards I wanted him and Volfred to reconcile.

Not to mention I find the ending where he starts to educate the exiles of the Downside pretty good too.

Well they never worked with online components so they probably decided it's not worth the time/resources that can be put into the single-player experience. It was the same with Salt aand Sanctuary.

On another note, I honestly was blown away how good Pyre was. Even as someone who doesn't believe 10/10 'perfect' games exist, I would say Pyre really skirted the line.

For real though. Apart from the no-online multiplayer, my only gripe on the game is that the lore is dumped on you in a somewhat wierd and heavy way in the Book. Everything else is pretty much perfect for me. Story, world, art, music, gameplay, progression, depth, replayability, characters etc.

The glaring difference that sets it above the other two for me is that Pyre actually has CHARACTERS. In Bastion and Transistor you were restricted to only the protag+narrarator duo, with a few very shallow side characters. Meanwhile the character roster of Pyre is god-tier, and made me care so much more about the story. The Liberation Rights were the hardest decisions I had to make in a long long time.

The game could have used a little more variety in the rites tho, like having a single pyre in the middle that keeps switching back and forth between yours and the adversary's or even isolated pyres that are based on orb control (quenching the enemy pyre while you hold it)

Also Hedwin could start spouting horns smewhere near the first liberation rite and growing each liberation rite that he missess since "many moons pass" between a liberation rite and the next

Yes, the Voice is always a previous reader elected to the position of Archjustice. They can temper with other Reader's minds the same way Volfred telephatically communicated with you. They basically sit on their asses in the Commonwealth and are bound to watch over the rites, but not interfere unless something gets majorly fucked up. Not even sure if they can interfere. Since the Rites have ended by the end of the game, and the Commonwealth has fallen, our Reader doesn't have to be bound to this position

Fun fact: If you liberate Volfred, the messenger imp tells you that the rebels had to bust him out, because the Commonwealth was already working on binding him to the Rites as the next Voice

It's sort of amazing how the game made me really like and care for the characters, Like, I can't think of anyone I didn't like or didn't want to see have at least a decent end for their story - and that never happens with games any more.

Plus, it was so rewarding to see everyone start to come to terms and bond that it was hard to want to actually send anyone back

The worst part is that 85% of that information is stuff you already know, so rereading the book is usually pointless.

after that enemy ai gets way tougher, enemies come with their own masteries and talismans, and you're given the option to turn on the equivalent of limiters/idols to furthers selectively increase difficulty

if core gameplay doesn't grip you it doesn't grip you though
