I'm not fond playing it on random online servers because once the player count died down, only shitty 3rd worlders remained. About 50% of the people on it were cheating. The fact that someone has to cheat in a 10+ year old game baffles me. But when you add the fact that it was retards from Brasil who can't afford to play any other game, it makes it disgusting and I just had to quit.

Not that playing with people from here is ideal. You trade cheating with obnoxious meme spouting.

When you say mods, do you mean the administrators kicking cheaters or modded gamemodes?
I hate that freeze tag shit and 90% of the servers used to run that. It was impossible to find a normal TDM or objective server.

I haven't played MOHAA since around 2006, but jesus I remember there was a cheat that let people modify the maps to certain areas have walls that can be shot through, so you'd have people peeking through the wall with their wallhacks and just getting tons of kills, then when you got close, they'd turn on aimbot.

I think CoD used GameSpy for the master server browser. So you can't use the in-game server browser to list servers.
You should find the server's IP on the internet or maybe there are some custom made patches which replace it with something else.

I did, I had some .exe that generated your name spelled with a bunch of special letters like Ð and such, while automatically setting colour codes for you. It also had keybinds for chat spam. Sometimes I wonder if vidya chat these days really is more obnoxious than back then.
