The story, overall presentation, and music is top tier. Its the recycling environments and obtuse puzzles and scenarios that throw people off. Its not better than the other 3 but miles ahead of most other horror games. Especially the western sh shitshows barring maybe shattered memories.

Origins apes the originals too shamelessly to be complete shit. If you like SH1-3, you should like the gameplay of Origins to some extent or another. Doesn't really make sense otherwise. It makes its fuckups that make it objectively lesser but it still gets enough right.
