Because it's an ugly duckling to swan story. The original trilogy was pretty awful, but CH got their shit together (read: absorb most of NIS's staff) and there was a huge boost of quality in their games. So now we have the Rebirths, which makes Neptune all the more lovable.

Nep dub ratings as a person who just completed re;birth1 with the dub for the first time. Goddess' version.

Neptunia-9/10. VA does a really good job, almost on the same level as Rie Tanaka. Seems to have Neps happy go lucky attitude down. And does a good shift into serious mode when Purple Heart is out.

Blanc-5/10. VA has no idea how to do Blanc. She is loud when she is supposed to be quiet and tends to shout her lines. Blanc is a quiet type unless angry, but this VA seems to make Blanc be angry all the time. She seems to do a decent shift into White Heart.

Vert-8/10. VA does a good job. She has the Ojousama character trait down. Her Green Heart is very cool and collected.

Noire-6/10. VA does okay. I'm not a fan of the valley girl Noire and the valley girl tends to come and go, it's not really consistent. Black Heart is where the VA does do a good job. She does Black Hearts arrogance well.

All in all the dub wasn't half bad.

I hope SAG goes on as long as possible just to show them how expendable they are. I'm sick of having the same handful of actors in literally everything since 1995. Even that wouldn't be so bad if they weren't all complacent as fuck and defended each other's jobs to ensure no new talent replaces them.
