There's not going to be a 3-D equivalent of a 2-D fighter. That said, Geese is a "punish" character. He has tools made specifically for fucking you up if he guesses right on your moves. He has a ground projectile, a counter, a command throw, and branching rekka moves with different enders.

The difference lies in the individual players: If you know what you're doing, and spam because they can't counter it, then that's fine as long as you know it wouldn't work against more experienced players. Meanwhile, if you're on the receiving end of spamming, you can either go back in the lab and figure out how to slap the shit out of spammers, or come cry on an image board about it. If you're the former, congrats! You're learning. If you're the latter? You deserve to get spammed to death.

It's almost like crying about fireball spamming in SF4. Every character in the game has, at minimum, two distinct tools to blitz through fireballs and smack the other guy. In Tekken, every character has tools to defeat spammers. You just have to git gud and learn to use those tools.

Xrd 2 and SFV. No crossplay (Xrd is excusable because everyone plays on PS4/3 anyway), gimped console version. No tutorial, so new players are intimidated and immediately turned away. Multiple reasons, really.

I feel ripped off by Harada. The game is blatantly rushed even though it has been delayed for years.
All this bullshit about delivering a finished product and then fucking everything is lacking.

Its lacking many features I see as essential these days.
No replay functions is literally garbage and the lobbies are worse than shit I have seen on the original xbox in 2002.
Absolute lack of any kind of gameplay resources in and outside of the game.
Content wise its the most barren Tekken game since like Tekken4. The game that introduced customization has more custom shit than T7.
The newcomers are also all fucking trash.

I'm also sick of Harada selling me another Tekken5 rehash again. Those games are Fifa tier when it comes to change. It feels to me like other fighting games change more between big patches than Tekken does between sequels.

Overall I'm just mega disappointed with the game and honestly I dont understand why this game is getting such amazing reviews on places like Steam when it does many of the mistakes SFV did. Must be because its their first Tekken game or something.

Because it is boring. The overlap between characters in games like Tekken make them so uninteresting to play. The matchmaking is awful and the loading times on console make it a snooze fest to play. They couldn't even do better customization than their games from almost a decade ago too
