Flare gun is being nerfed to do minicrits on burning targets since we felt that long range crits on demand were unfair.
Airblast on all flamethrowers has shorter duration and longer cooldown to make it more skill dependent.
Flames now have a far more narrow cone in exchange for an increase in range of 1.5 hammer units, in order to make Pyro more skillful. Damage is unchanged.

That's a straight buff btw. More fire particles hitting the target is more deeps directly. They'd never do it though because Pyro is meant to be able to attack multiple opponents at once, otherwise you'd be better off with a spy or soldier.

The game died the moment everyone realized there was no reason not to play as Demo or Solder at all times since they can both do everything better than everyone else.

The Spy is good fo--- no. Spy is useless, and will become complete unusable garbage once the only thing keeping him alive gets nerfed (dead ringer). So yeah, Soldier.

This game survived on autistic kids buying hats and the couple of people trying to push it as a serious e-sport (lol). Gameplay wise, TF2 has one of the worst balancing issues in FPS history, which is saying a lot because they had time to fix shit but didn't.

It doesn't NEED to be balanced to be fun, but the "fun" part is thrown out the window when you realize that to do anything worthwhile, you only have 2 classes to use.

Having a Medic up your ass also doesn't help the case for soldiercunt and demonigger being the only good ones. If Medic had a strong damaging weapon, he'd be the best class by far. The game is surviving on jewy tactics and the few passionate people left.

Airblast is one of the only good things about Pyro at the moment, it doesn't need to be buffed even further.
Everything regarding fire (especially afterburn, which is now very easy to extinguish) is what Pyro sucks at.

This is my main problem with 90% of the shooters coming out today. They're all in that Overwatch style where they replace skill with sluggish general movement, cooldowns that automate movement abilities and epic hit Q to win attacks that you don't even lose when you die.
Soldier alone has more depth than any combination of mechanics in those types of games.

Each gamemode in Casual has a "view maps" button, there you can toggle which maps you (don't) want.
Good luck in Competitive though, it's completely random which map you get sent to.

Last night I was a pyro inside the enemy's intel room with a medic pocketing me and they COULD NOT do a fucking thing. Pyro is fucking stupid and I can't wait for it to be nerfed but it was really funny shutting down their entire team by clicking mouse2 until the med could uber me directly into their spawn while my team had full mid control.

There's a small ammo pack in the room at the top of spiral and a medium right outside intel. All you need are like 3 or 4 airblasts halfway up spiral and then run back to the pack. Repeat a few times and you can uber into spawn.

I think airblast should just have a charge mechanic. The amount of force you bump players with is based on the charge meaning you couldn't just hold them in place, and you need a higher level of charge to actually reflect rockets.
This prevents you from taking the majority of control away from other players with very little skill involved and increases the skill ceiling from just walking around corners and immediately right clicking in a soldier's face to actually have to predict the opponent and charge up an airblast ahead of time.

Say, if a Soldier is stupid enough to fire 4 rockets at me from a medium distance (which is most likely the case in any regular game), airblasts fire fast enough to reflect them all in time
But a charge-based reflect would be too much of a time spender to reflect all rockets in time

I say you can just reflect all rockets normally, but charge your airblast in order to 'stun' the player
A non charged airblast will make the enemy just do a little 'jump', such as giant robots in MvM; stun is very short

A fully charged shot will throw the enemy into the air with a reasonable force, giving you enough time to finish off with fire or any other weapon you have

You shouldnt be shooting projectiles at a Pyro, and if you do, you know very well the risk. RR engies, huntsmen, crossbow medics, etc.
If you play as splash damage projectile class, dont shot directly at the Pyro, splash the walls and floor, there is nothing a Pyro can do about it. I assume you already know this.

As I said before, if a Soldier fires 4 rockets from afar, then he should be punished by his own minicrits reflected rockets, because that's not something a Soldier should be doing, and Pyro 'should' specialize in that area, but this is my opinion.

Now I think you refer all these times you got killed by a 'lucky reflect'.
Basically you encounter a Pyro, close enough to basically kiss eachother, you instinctively fire a rocket, a Pyro knowing this also instinctively presses M2, and you die.
Not sure if it's unfair, but it's just pure luck... and """prediction""". If that's the case, either wait 2 seconds until the Pyro instinctively airblast and blow him to gibs. Or use a Shotgun.

How terrible are my loadouts

What is it about TF2 that makes people get so buttmad in games, I've played the game on and off since release and I never see people get as mad as I do playing TF2.

Was just doing a casual 2fort map and nearly as soon as the game started people on the enemy team started getting mad that I was pocketing my soldier friend most of the time, blaming every single death on the medic, trying so hard to rationalize their own losses, it went on for a good hour because the match took forever to win. Shit was hilarious, they were talking shit the entire team and we never said a word. The rage is truly what makes TF2 worth coming back to, I just don't understand why it's TF2 in particular.

I use vaccinator and we've adapted greatly to each other's playstyle, he's not even the best at aiming at soldier, what sets him apart from most players is his game awareness, people underestimate awareness but it can make a huge difference in games like this, it's made me become a lot more aware of what's going on at all times.
