Do people honestly think this is going to take place after the ending? All these "I LIVE BITCH/I came back from the grave to dance" memes are head-slapping stupid to me. I understand P4 DaN took place after the main game, but nothing actually happened in DaN's story that effected or really even related to what happened in the original P4. It was pretty much an unrelated case with the same characters, and that's it.
Plot will probably be this
>Take place during P3's summer festival when MC is sick in bed for several days

Simple as that. I'm not Atlus, but rewriting such an important moment like the MC's sacrifice for a revival in a dancing game sounds ridiculous even for them.

Of course Shinji will be playable. He's a fan favorite, no way they'd leave him out. I'm with OP, no idea why everyone seems to think it'll be set after P3's story, that makes no sense. It made sense for P4, but nobody fucking died in P4.

It's probably not going to be canon, and just be set during the story. Or they'll find some weird contrived reason to let them have another adventure like PQ did. Setting it after P3 means no Shinji, and having to resurrect Makoto. No Shinji would be insane, since he's a fan favorite and a main character, and resurrecting Makoto would result in lots of backlash.
