I've considering getting a g502 spectrum from a g400s but the mouse is still working no problem so I kinda feel getting rid of it. I have the cooler master masterkeys pro L and I love the RGB although I wont get any other RGBs on my rig. The mousepad doesnt need to cost 30$ to be good and headsets are an overpriced meme
>>
>>386051645
wow thanks for that insightful reply
>>386051858
They make cooler master keyboards without RGB you know. Here's a nice one with PBT keycaps: http://www.coolermaster.com/peripheral/keyboards/masterkeys-s-with-superior-pbt-keycaps/

i have that exact mouse (g403) and that headset (hyperx cloud). both are brilliant pieces of hardware and are super affordable too. i got my g403 for £35 (amazon sale) and my hyperx cloud for £50. would highly recommend both for people who don't have an insane amount of cash to spend on peripherals once you've built your pc. i don't have a steelseries mousepad because i have some cheapo knockoff brand one but i havn't had issues with it. i have a corsair k70 mx brown keyboard which i'd also highly rate.
>>
I use the mouse and keyboard that came with my desktop (Alienware Aurora R6), a mousepad of Masamune Date from Sengoku Basara with padded asscheeks and bulge that says "are you ready?", and the Cloud II headset.

have had my first gen hyper x headphones for like 3-4 years now. i've thrown them around and even bled into one ear cup but they still work just as well as they did when i got them. they've actually been so reliable for me that whilst all my friends old headsets are breaking and they're upgrading to top end sennheiser, bayerdynamic, audio-technica etc i'm still rocking this headset and playing my competitive games just as well as them.
>>
>>386051570

I have that mouse and I find the scroll kinda wonky, the mouse somewhat small and no dpi-indicator stupid
Other than that it's great

you heard it here first folks, better headphones make you a better player; but with hyper x headphones, you can still play just as well as people with far higher sound quality *cough ..* uhh... i mean far higher competitive gaming headsets for half the cost!

Been a logitech fag for ages, still got my age old G19 on my desk. THe leds are starting to die, they don't show all the colors anymore so half of the keyboard is a different colour than the other. The media keys for example only show red colour, the "G" keys on the left don't show any blue and so on.
It still works though so whatever.

For a mouse I have a Logitech G502, got a free upgrade to the RGB one just by asking logitech nicely, while keeping my old one. I am extremely content with their service. Their software and websites can go fuck themselves though.

Zowie & Razer & Steelseries
- Chinese Huano switches rated generously by the manufacturer at 10 million actuations, with a very heavy actuation force
- PMW3310 (zowie) and PMW3360 sensor (razer, steelseries). 2 and 1 generation old sensors, respectively. Inferior sensors. But cheap! Have bad input delay, bad high speed tracking performance, and smoothing. See chart.

Logitech
- Japanese Omron switches tested to be good for 50 million actuations with an actuation force over 2x lighter than Huanos
- PMW3366 sensor developed in concert with Logitech and Pixart engineers to be ideal for 3D video games. Has zero smoothing, has no 'native DPI'. Has best-in-class high speed performance and input delay (8ms better than Deathadder Elite). See chart.

Logitech mouse bodies:
g502 is 117 grams, medium size, right handed, 7 buttons, unlockable free-scrolling scrollwheel
g403 is 87 grams, large, right handed. 2 buttons + DPI switch.
g pro is 83 grams, small, ambidextrous. 2 buttons + DPI switch. Lightest weight mouse.
Logitech also has a new line of wireless-recharging wireless mice, they will be heavier than wired counterparts and have 5.5ms higher input delay though.

Remember: before you buy, be informed.

To those who bitch about "gaming headsets". What are some proper headphones that can be wore for long periods of time without causing harm/headaches?
I've tried a bunch of "real headphones" but most of them give me headaches and feel too clamped to wear for over 2 hours a day.
I'm currently using a pair of these wacky headphones and so far I haven't had any issue (for the first time ever), yet I want to know if there is anything better.

0.001-0.008 seconds gives no competitive advantage. It's silly to criticise mouse brands for this as they're all very responsive in click latency. A proper sensor is important for aim consistency, ergonomics as you said is important as well.
