Speaking of Brooke, the town in One Piece UWR was comfy as fuck.

The thing that always gets me about games and tropical locations, is they never EEEVER account for how fucking hot and humid those places are. So we see shit like pic related. That guy would be so fucking hot and sweaty hed be miserable and smell like complete shit.
>>386053565
Congrats, anon. You won the contest of who could be the most retardedly obvious today.

Lavender Beds > Mist >>> The Goblet
>>386053979
You know the only way to even be there is to have some sort of crippling disability, yes? Would you really damage your own wellbeing for the POSSIBILITY of getting your dick wet?
I wish I had a good picture of it, but this place was like a Christmas village and it somehow managed to be the comfiest place in DQVIII
>>386055346
>not liking cripple girls
>>386055449
Dont get me wrong, I would love to fuck, consensually or non consensually, some cripple chicks.
But I'm not going to damage my own wellbeing to do so.
>>386054498
this or Terry town
>>386055267
Fuck off, XIV is the ugliest, uncomfiest, most boring and brown game ever made. Not a single truly memorable unique or iconic zone. It's all trash. No, you don't want to live there. It's not even about opinion or differing tastes, it's literally ass.
>>386053410

>>386055385
Flanoir from Symphonia had a similar feel. I got4a hand it to JPRG devs, they know a thing or two about comfy snow villages and when to introduce them; while the plot is getting tense but the party is just looking for a place out of the cold
The ashlands is a good place.
>>386056595
flanoir is a great place, but fuck it for housing that super saiyan piece of shit with the impossible to dodge meteor storm
>>386052131
I always make Sadrith Mora my Mark on a mage character, easy access to shops + boat + mage guild.
>>386056595
t.Person who hasn't lived around cold place for most of his life.
Fuck snow and ice.
There is nothing comfy about them unless you stay in the place for a few days until you go somewhere where weather is nice.
>>386054261
>>386056476
I honestly think FF8 is one of the most beautiful games ever created. It definitely has the best looking prerendered backgrounds, at the very least.
>>386056847
That's what I mean, usually when you get to tne snow chapter of a game it's mid-lategame and you're not there very long (one night in Symphonia's case) but that brief period is oddly charming
>>386056420
Say what you want, but WoW has an insane ammount of comfy and iconic zones, whereas XIV doesn't have a single one.
>>386057223
This
>>386050804
I liked Rolent.
Traverse Town, Imperial City, and Mauville City come to mind.
>>386056947
Agree with you there.
It has an amazing world in it.
The scenes in so many areas were just so nice to watch.
Imagine an FF8 done today with current tech at levels of say, FF15.
Even more of that world to explore, more in-depth.
But, and this is the good bit, still 3D characters with 2D FMV backgrounds.
I'd give anything for something like that.
>>386057661
Yeah, too bad it would still be brought down by an awful cast.
>>386057885
Voices? Aw fuck naw.
Still glorious text.
>>386054091
I like this post
>>386058026
My bad, cast was the wrong word. I meant the characters.
>>386057375
This is the one true answer. Lindblum is the comfiest city in any game, period.
>>386052604
the place being a giant stone city completely devoid of life was always kind of unsettling to me
>>386057135
this game looks familiar. what is it
>>386058770
Xenoblade chronicles
>>386055346
How about living in the small mountain town it's right next to?
Looked comfortable, mostly just students of that place walking around as far as i've seen and it's a relaxed place in the mountains.
I'd kill for a relaxed little life there managing some small buisness or something.
FUCK the city i'm so done with this shit.
>>386053093
I almost get run over when trying to cross the road anyway, even looking both ways.
>>386050804
>weak to tsunamis
>>386054208
Don't even know what this game is and I agree.
>>386054498
Agreed I wish BOTW had a winter themed town like this.
Golden Sun as a series has some very cozy cities.
>>386058405
I see your Lindblum and raise you Treno
Anyday.
Pandaria has the comfiest locations.
>>386057135
Beat me to it, amigo. Colony 9, hell the Bionis in general would be a pretty dope place to live.Except for the part where God wants to murder you because he's an egotistical prick for shits and giggles.
>>386061680
Enjoy getting mugged, killed then dumped in a canal.
It doesn't get cozier than this.
>>386063157
It'd be much better if you installed a mod that fixed the glowing yellow dirt.
>>386061798
Beauclair was excellent to explore. I want more settings like these, couldn't be arsed with the brown swamps in Velem.
>>386061358

You can't mod perfection.

Good taste. My friend and I each had a secret base on the little island just south of there.
>>386063560
Yes. Pretty much any town in that game would be amazing to live in.
>>386050906
They eat magikarp and that's all

If the entire village is floating, then you'd be relatively safe in a tsunami.

I really like the big wooden Gridanian buildings.
>>386061798

Maybe Bruma from Oblivion.
I know the whole point of Santa Destroy is that it's a shithole, but it still seems better than my hometown.

>>386054805
Mah Nigga.
>>386065501
Still rampant bandits and hobbs.
>>386066029
You can just stay behind the demon door then.
>>386065501
God Fable 2 is one of the games I just want to replay to explore but I really don't want to play the actual game.
>>386063568
I'd visit Mauville, but I rather spend my days relaxing by the ocean.
Legitimately comfy and you basically get to be space Lewis & Clark. If you're not a robot person, you only get one shot though.
Not a city but the world you visit in Pikmin looks comfy and I could spend my whole life studying the animals there.

Flanoir was comfy as fuck, I wish there was more houses that were able to be entered though. The soundtrack was pretty nice too
>>386066769
Ok sure it's "earth" but you show me a Bulborb on this gay planet. Plus if the animals are so drastically different surely the geography and architecture would be as well.
Somewhere in Vana'diel (FFXI) so i can plow cat girls and die being an adventurer.
>>386066526
I have no memory of this place.
>>386056339
This tbqh. Live on the main island and row over here with your best friends every day after school.
I'm a hardcore fan with FF8, so many times I would even try to escape reality with lucid dreaming, I would be in Balamb Garden where I would often train with Zell in the training center and help Selphie with the Garden Festival, but one day as I was talking to Selphie, we went to my dormitory for a private talk. She immediately said, "You know you could live with us forever.." I gave her a confused look and she continued, "We understand that you live on earth and you REALLY wish to live here". I then said "How..How did you know?" She then giggled and said "Because we've been watching you, silly!"
This was a dream come true and I almost cried right there. She then said, "I talked with Headmaster Cid and he agreed that you would be PERFECT for SeeD, you just have to do...one thing". She then held my hand and looked deep into my eyes and said "...You have to kill yourself for the transfer to work correctly." I then gave her some questions, "How long do I have before the deal expires?" She then said "Cid said 3 months.." I added by saying "What's the most painless way?..." She giggled again, "Suicide will require pain buuut...if you want it quick...Get a gun and a nice shot to the head works.
I then agreed and she gave me a kiss on the forehead, "I know this will be tough but once it's over and done, you'll get to live here!" I then woke up and this was last week and i purchased a gun. I might actually kill myself because that dream just felt too real to be fake and my life isn't doing so grand.
I don't even like the Zelda series but Outset island just looks so peaceful
>>386052290
>>386052532
>not Yukumo
Pokke is acceptable (and has the comfiest theme music) but Moga is a fucking dump no matter how you look at it.
Cassardis from Dragdog would be bretty gomfy, as would Gran Soren although you'd need to oust Duke Edmun ChokesOnAThousandCocks first.
>>386055346
>can only enroll there if you're crippled
Explicitly untrue. Non-cripples are just atypical, like enrolling at a school for the blind when you have perfect vision it just makes less sense for those who don't need the specialized facilities and faculty.
>>386050906
>>386055550

>>386070456
that doesnt make any amount of sense
>>386066369
Just treasure the memories anon.
I have fond memories of it as well, but deep down I know that it's a pretty shitty game.
You can always just listen to the 10/10 soundtrack though.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIgAuYi1pVM
I gotta say so far most people have posted amazing and comfy looking locations but not very livable ones. Just all the island posts as an example, you'd be bored out of your mind before the third day. The fantasy settings? Well I guess if you like backbreaking labor all day and drunken stupor all night with no opportunity for change it would be nice. You're no Chosen One lad. As for snow settings: I love them, I can't get enough of cold weather irl, and having a nice sheet of fresh snow on a sunny day can't be beat. But fuck me if it doesn't go from comfy to survival horror in the span of an evening. Cold nights are impossibly miserable and then the mornings are somehow worse.
If you want somewhere to actually live go with sci-fi, there you're guaranteed a minimum quality of life much higher than you have now as long as you don't accidentally go dystopia. Plus depending on the setting you can live out your cozy little village dreams with no downsides.
>>386067785
It's not lucid dreaming if you're not lucid dipshit
