Just go with what you'd agree with. If you like the game enough to play ng+ then go for neutral, it takes away more effort than the other routes.

I used a guide for choices to get neutral on my first playthrough and it was fine. It is a bitch because you have to constantly flip-flop between Law and Chaos with no rhyme or reason since you're not always given a neutral choice.

If you're wanting to do multiple playthroughs to collect route exclusive demons, I think starting with neutral is the worst way to go.

I played 4 first in the series and hated it in the beginning but once you get midgame and you can start fusing the perfect demons exactly how you want them it becomes extremely satisfying. It just feels super rewarding to finally fuse together a perfect, stupidly overpowered demon and then steamroll everything.

This game is so fucking annoying. I keep getting ambushed by enemies because it's hard to tell the swing distance on the overworld. So I swear I'm next to the enemy, I swing, it misses, AMBUSH ENEMY FIRST

I put about 20 hours into the game when it came out but never finished it. Going to restart and do a blind playthrough. Wish me luck.

I gave up on finishing the sidequests, so I just went with best hoy for the chaos end, feel pretty satisfied with the game.
