Gen 4 has Johto and Sinnoh. Those are literally the only two well designed regions.

I feel the stability of games on release overall has slipped dramatically and games crash and suffer alot more performance related issuesfor consoles since the ps4 and xbox one have an os running in the bakcground you can tab out of they don't have to try to fix crashes as fast before launch because a crash in the 8th gen means you get booted back to the home menu instead of having to restart your system, and then load the game all over again

the systems were so fucking underpowered that we need a mid cycle upgrade and with the ps4 pro, and xbox x, and another PS mid gen upgrade console possibly before the ps5 is released

Hardly. The caves had tight level overlapping level design where you could get a good view of what you were doing and where you were going.
The oceans of sinnoh were wide featureless bullshit. The diving was improved slightly in the remake.

DP is a good game held back by a few mind numbingly retarded decisions like the speed and lack of fire Pokemon in the Pokedex. Platinum patched up those changes up and became one of the best games in the series.

BW and SM are all around unpleasant and shallow experiences. And BW2 is an entirely different game. A BW1.5 wouldn't have fixed gen 5 like it did for gen 4. At least DP still had a proper endgame with 3 new towns, new routes, and a shitload of post game legendaries, and the battle tower compared to XY, BW, and SM.

Beyond garbage tastes. 1 and 2 have the best designs but gen 4 is third (sandwiched by two particularly dogshit gens for designs, 3 (COLORS AND SHAPES FOR THE SAKE OF IT EVERYWHERE) and 5 (Literally bootleg version of gen 1 Pokemon)
HG/SS and Platinum also have great Pokemon campaigns. 3 is retarded, 1 and original 2 are too simple. And 5 and beyond lay it on too thick for writing that just isn't very good (Pokemon ethics? Just kidding the villain is just mustache twirling levels of comic book evil).
Those two games have a middle ground no story of the early gens and the cutscenes heavy approach of the last 3 gens.

Honestly ever since COD4 games have been going straight downhill, and AAA companies have been trying to make games more and more accessible to people, thus dumbing them down and making them really shitty

This is a good marketing tactic, and since you can charge 90 fucking dollars for NBA CURRENT YEAR plus DLC you make a fuck ton of money, so why would you even bother to take time and develop a real game with real depth when you can either make a remake or copy and paste the same game over and over (see COD, Battlefield, all sports games ever)

Fucking Overwatch is one of the best games last year because even though its still really fucking casual and stupid, it at least has SOME fucking depth to it and its a somewhat original title

You literally can't tell screenshots of Splatoon 1 and 2 apart. And Super Mario Odyssey isn't a straight graphical upgrade over 3D world (Sacrificing texture and model quality for bigger worlds and more things potentially going on).

Because it's basically the exact same console but portable and with paid online and no backwards compatibility or streaming services or internet and a 70 fucking dollar controller that isn't even better than the 40 dollar WiiU pro controller, 90 dollar docks, no hardshell case that can stay on the system at all times. I personally love my WiiU. But the fact that you can pretty much only play WiiU games on it outside of like 5 or so odd multiplats that had good WiiU version is a HUGE reason none of my friends ever bought one despite being desperate to play Smash 4 everytime I come home from school.
