Shogun 2 was great but TWWH has improved the controls and the faction diversity as well as some more minor things too, I am looking forward to the next gunpowder era game because it will be vastly better to what we have had in the past.

Shogun was a great game but not a perfect one.

I'm sure they'll get some improvements, but for me the biggest reason Warhammer is so good is that it's fantasy so the factions are allowed to be very different. In history, that is rarely the case.

For a historical game to have that level of diversity, they have to stretch things like how common elephants were, and stuff like that just makes my /hwg/ autism flare up.

its fun and yes, a little bit more simplistic, but has skill trees, and much more diversified units (monstrous infantry, flying units: shit that doesn't exist in historical games)
