I'll elaborate, since you don't get it. Basically rarer currency items like chaos and whatnot are used in making/improving items for late game purposes. That is where they get their value as a currency. However, most items you actually get in drops are useless to you, and if they are useful, they're likely useful to someone else more than you, so you are inclined to sell them so you can get the currency for your own purposes (buying gear or making your own). If you want the currency you need to get through crafting any useful late game items at all you need a fuckton, and those useful late game items will never, EVER just randomly drop and be useful, you need to spend currency to improve them almost always.

SSF however doesn't have trading, but you still get gear you have no use for, but you now can not sell it, and rare currency is still as rare as it is in trade-allowed leagues. You understand what I'm saying now you absolute fucking retard?

I do know about the change. Yes, removing double dipping kinda killed pretty much every DoT source, but the new tree changes that came in yesterday added ailment damage to pretty much every attack based node and now you can actually get some damage out of ailments with attack builds. Even better is the fact that this is a straight buff to melee builds if they can pick at least a bit of poison/bleed/ignite. DoTs aren't as great as they were but now they're at least not completely dead.

1)Play it safe, in HC in general you have to accept the fact you cannot clear all the content with the same build. Pick your battles. Those "pro" players grind very safe areas and completely avoid areas or bosses that make their build useless, if they can.


2) Accept your crazy idea for a build might not work the first time around. Figure out a way you might improve on the build next time. It wouldn't be exciting if it would be too easy.

3)If you find a good unique that you have an idea for a build, but which does not fit your current character, save it. SSF characters in the same league have shared stashes, so that second character of yours can use that unique.

4) If you want to clear the content as fast as possible, SSF is not for you. The game is balanced more around playing in a party, SSF and trading become second. If your SSF character turns out to be really good and you want to start trading after all, nothing prevents you from moving the SSF character to normal league.

5) If you don't have at least 4000 Life/ES/Both and all resistances except chaos capped by the time you hit level 68-70, your build is bad. Hope you saved those relocating orbs or start grinding for more items with Health suffixes in them.

6) If you don't care about bragging rights but do prefer playing solo 90% of the time without trading, just play the normal mode. People play SSF mostly to be proud of how far they got with their home recipe builds.

The best build I ever made myself was during the breach league. HC of course.

Made a cyclone slayer that didn't actually deal damage through cyclone, but due to it proccing a ton of molten bursts which was an exclusive skill to the ngamahu's flame axe that I had. I actually had the best one on the market with perfect rolls to boot. On top of that I used the Red Dream unique jewel which was insanely expensive to generate max endurance charges all the time without even having to use enduring cry.

The build was so fucking good, I loved it. Really made me proud.

Hear me out. What I mean is, why is supporting it so expensive?

You can either play for free, which is great, you can even just buy a few stash tabs and maybe a currency tab, sure.

But the moment you are willing to buy any mtx armor you're going to pay out the wazoo. Easily gonna cost you some fucking 30 dollars just for an armor. There is no middle ground it seems.

Yeah, my build before I saw the assassin changes was pretty fucking retarded, but I saw they deaded that, so I was switching to BV which is my PoE equivalent of comfort food. Normally I'd start with chaos Oblit, but the ele conversion changes made that a pretty obvious choice. I'm just hoping that most people just stick with the build he laid out in the video and fuck off. Becuase there's some uniques and shit I would want with my version that the average build follower wouldn't think of
