Are there any basics to text based games I should know if I want to get into them? All I know are simple commands most games use like "look", "take all", etc.

I love the hell out of Jigsaw. "Pick up the Phonebooth and Aisle" isn't a real one per se but I think is very fun all the same.Slouching Toward Bedlam is another good one.I'll have to remember some more.
