Are composite to HDMI adapters good products? Do they add any

It's going to look the same as it would if you plugged composite cables in to an hdtv. There's no point unless your monitor doesn't have composite inputs.

That's the reason why I'm looking into them, TV stopped working and can't play consoles like the Wii at the moment.

HDMI, DVI, and D-sub. I don't even think monitors with component input are even made anymore.

If it's so old you're using a composite why not just use a CRT? There's advantages to doing so.
