Pretty sure thats all you do for final bosses in KH games. Mash X and in 2 sometimes triangle. As a matter of fact the most interesting final boss in all the KH games ive played was in Dream Drop. That time mechanic was something i hadnt seen before.

KHII bosses are aggressive, with attack patterns you have to react to and punish. Regardless of input complexity, the bosses are more engaging, and ask more of the player.

Tales of feels like a classic RPG system (just spamming the boss with as much firepower as you can) in 3D space, whereas KHII actually takes the term "ACTION RPG" to heart and is designed with action in mind.

And I am mainly talking about KHII, but the other games in the series carry this mentality despite varied combat systems.
