All the Experience Inc. dungeon crawlers are basically the same shitty game, so Demon Gaze (2), Operation Abyss, Operation Babel, etc.

Though Abyss & Babel use the more archaic spell stock system instead of a more general mana pool.

There's some new skills with each iteration, but it's pretty much the exact same battle & class system.

And you can break them the same way too, just by stacking HIT/EV buffs.

they are dungeon crawlers or blobbers (as the party moves together in a blob) though there are still a couple of different flavours like dungeon master which has realtime combat and focuses more on puzzles and later M&M or wiz 8 which are completely open world games

Well, I like the asthetics more than those games like Wizardy.

I can do older 3D games and some 2D games. but the old DOS games just don't work for me.

People usually use DRPG for the more modern ones, the Vita has a metric fuckton of really good ones and 3DS the EO games and Dark Spire.
I'd say buy a cheap PSTV and just take your pick, there is quite literally dozens that are as good and better than SoSC. SoSC has an enhanced edition with an extra class and more content on the Vita too.
